An important year for the “Rosolinesi in Siracusa” association which celebrates the 25 years of the foundation of the association with a program of celebrations and meetings.

One of these was held on Sunday 21 April, “a day – said the president Corrado Di Stefano – organized under the banner of healthy eating as a synonym of health in search of old lost flavours”.

The first stop was in fact the Ruta farm, in the Zimmardo district, with a lunch that brought the association back to the traditions of the past.

“Poor, local, good and tasty products, – says Di Stefano – with bread, olives, cheese tasting, dried sausage produced with local meat and prepared like the old times, cast out, “vota vote”, meat jelly, then, as per Rosolino tradition, the moment has come for the hot ricotta accompanied by bread home made with sourdough, and again, ricotta and cavatelli ravioli with pork sauce. All accompanied by the excellent ruby-colored manor wine and the house dessert

After lunch the members reached Rosolini for the meeting scheduled with the “Family Club” with the President Maria Di Martino and the other members. “It was the opportunity – continues Di Stefano – to meet many friends and create a moment of collaboration and sharing, remembering anecdotes from their youth together”

President Di Martino, after the ritual greetings, introduced a cultural interlude of poems and readings, recited by the teachers Giuseppina Scala and Pina Magro.

The President of the Rosolinesi Association in Syracuse, Corrado Di Stefano, presented the association’s “pennant” to the President, Maria Di Martino, in memory of the meeting and in good wishes for the new headquarters.
