Laura Gabrielli, 51 years old, married with three children and married to Massimiliano Ossini, degree in business economics from Bocconi in Milan, has been a member of the board of directors of Magazzini Gabrielli since 2002 and for ten years, from 2014 to today, she has also been a director delegate of the subsidiary FG Gallerie Commerciali. «I am honored – said Laura Gabrielli – with this new role which will see me at the helm of the family business. I am perfectly aware of the importance of the role I will be covering and my commitment will be to work to guarantee a future for Magazzini Gabrielli.

A new phase in the company’s life opens, but my appointment is a sign of continuity, having received the baton from my father and still being able to count on him on the board of directors in addition to my two cousins ​​and the two external advisors who collaborate with the group for years and who will bring expertise and strategic vision. From today – he concludes – I take on a great, new responsibility, on the one hand towards the partners who nominated me and on the other towards our 3,500 collaborators. My commitment will also be maximum towards everything that revolves around Magazzini Gabrielli”.

Yesterday’s shareholders’ meeting, in addition to ratifying the appointment of the company’s new top management, also approved the budget for 2023. Magazzini Gabrielli closed an extraordinary year in terms of results. The turnover, equal to 1.096 billion euros, exceeded, for the first time in history, the threshold of one billion euros, with a growth of 23.35% compared to the previous year with a net profit that grew by 53.80% and which is equal to 34.228 million euros. Ebitda reached 77.9 million euros which corresponds to 7.1% of turnover.

The sales points

The retail structure, both direct and indirect, is made up of 320 sales points present in the five regions of Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Umbria and Lazio with the Oasi, Tigre and Tigre Amico brands. The development of the commercial network, during 2023, was also characterized by the acquisition of over fifty Coop branded sales points between Rome and the province. The entry into the Selex Group, the first Italian purchasing center for large-scale retail trade, three years ago, proved to be a winning choice.
