Yesterday afternoon, Monday 29 April, at 3.45 pm, the officers of the Local Police of Cesena detected a road accident in via San Giorgio where a 66-year-old woman driving a Citroen truck was performing a turning maneuver from a private area hit a motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old boy who, following the collision, ended up on the asphalt and ended the ride on the lawn.

In addition to the patrol on duty, the 118 health workers intervened on site and rescued the motorcyclist who was then transferred under yellow code to the emergency room of the “Bufalini” hospital for further checks. The boy was discharged in the evening. However, the woman driving the truck was unharmed.
The local police ascertained the dynamics of the accident, charging the 66-year-old with article 145 c. 6 of the Highway Code because when entering the road he did not give priority to the oncoming vehicle headed towards Cesena centre. The driver was also subjected to breathalyzer tests and tested negative.
