Golden Bridge: the city museums are full after April 25th

MANTUA – Still figures that touch or exceed the fateful threshold of three thousand visitors for the Virgilian museums, even after the exploit of April 25th which had even brought Palazzo Ducale to touch four thousand paying visitors. All this despite the uncertainty of the weather, which in any case had not discouraged foreign tourism much. In short, Mantua confirms the expectations of its attractiveness in the numbers of hotels and museums.
However, the lion’s share is once again taken by the main museum centers of the capital, perhaps aided by the appreciated floral initiatives that have embellished and made the historic center truly welcoming.
Letting the numbers speak for themselves, Palazzo Te sold 3,164 tickets on April 26th, even higher than those on April 25th (2,380); figure remained more or less constant in the days of the long bridge. On 27 April, 2,836 paying visitors had access to the Giuliesca villa, and only yesterday – as was expected – the number of visitors was reduced by a thousand units (1,774).
Figures also comparable to Palazzo Ducale, where the palace of the lords of Mantua also exceeded the threshold of 3 thousand accesses. But the achievement of the other “minor” civic museums was also considered satisfactory. Even in this case the numbers speak for themselves: on 26 April 1,001 people visited the Maca (the Museum of Palazzo San Sebastiano), and on Saturday 1,149. Yesterday, Sunday, 605.
