For several months the victim, a 42-year-old, had not been able to look out onto the balcony of her home without being threatened with death and insulted by her neighbor who, without having any right, persistently continued to ask her for money.
Exasperated, on April 23rd, the woman, in whom the continuous verbal attacks had generated a persistent state of anxiety and fear for her own safety and that of her younger daughter, who was also threatened in her presence, decided to report it to the police. of the Teverola station the violence suffered.
Following the complaint, the military immediately activated procedures aimed at safeguarding and protecting the victim and her younger daughter and to release the 39-year-old local man already known to the police into a state of freedom. Late Sunday afternoon, however, despite the complaint for stalking and attempted extortion, received a few days earlier, the 39-year-old once again verbally attacked his neighbor and threatened her with death if she didn’t immediately give him some money.
Thanks to the dynamic surveillance services, carried out daily on the initiative of the Carabinieri, it was possible to guarantee immediate intervention at the woman’s home where, after settling the dispute, the military blocked and arrested the 39-year-old. The man was taken to the barracks and, after the ritual formalities, he was accompanied to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere district house.
