A tragic road accident occurred at dawn on Sunday 28 April in via di Boccea, on the north-west outskirts of Rome, causing the death of a 21-year-old boy, poor Filippo Barletta. The accident occurred around 4:30 in the morning, near Via di Torrevecchia. The victim, who lived in the Primavalle area, was traveling on a Zontes ZT 125 motorbike together with a friend of his age, who was unharmed.

According to initial information, the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up off the road. At the moment there are no other vehicles involved in the accident, although the police are investigating in this regard, to trace the exact cause of the loss of control.

The patrols of the Local Police of Rome Capital of the I Prati Group intervened at the site of the tragic event and are conducting investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. The rescuers confirmed the death of the passenger of the motorbike on impact, while the peer driving the vehicle remained unharmed.

Investigators are working to establish whether there were external factors that contributed to the accident, such as road surface conditions, any obstacles on the road or driving errors. Any images from surveillance cameras present in the area will also be analyzed to look for further elements useful for the investigation.
