The latest rumors date back to early March, or the days following the premiereheld at the reviving Geneva Motor Show: new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric it will cost from 24,000 euros upwards, so it will honor the promise of starting below 25,000 euros. The price list official, however, has not yet been released: despite this, the Renault 5 on his return he has already collected a order pool which exceeds altitude 50,000 (it’s not just any model). While waiting for the prices, in the meantime the first one is blooming special series: the recent tradition (the first experience is in 2022) wants Renault to participate in Roland-Garros as premium partners is exactly Roland Garros it is the name of a limited series which obviously accentuates the sporty aspect of the new Losanga electric city car. GAME, 5, MATCH On the outside, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Roland Garros special edition stands out four exclusive body colours: Nacré White, Night Blue, Etoilé Black and matt Schist Grey. They are colors that go wonderfully with both the profile of the satin chrome roofboth with i 18-inch “Ecrou” wheels shiny black diamonds. To add a touch sporty chic, the rims themselves have a specific design and are enriched by shale gray central hubcaps. At the base of the front door, the ”Roland-Garros” logo in the center of one graphic “St. Andrew’s Cross” which evokes the architecture of the stadium in which, from 20 May to 9 June, the famous Grand Slam tournament takes place.

INSIDE OF The specific light gray upholstery with a dense and subtle graphic pattern is inspired by the technical clothing of the sports universe: a 100% recycled fabric is combined with areas treated with perforated mesh (especially on the “H” of the backrest), the effect of which is accentuated by the side supports covered in blue TEP. The backrests of the front seats are also decorated with the ”Roland-Garros” logo embossed in relief.

TERRAIOLA The fabric of the seats, combined with the blue TEP, is repeated on the door panels and on the dashboard fascia. A was added under the passenger side air vent “blue white earth” embroidery. The decorative panel that runs across the dashboard is “satin metal” in color and has a backlit area with the writing “Roland-Garros Paris”. The characteristic e-pop shifter is finally inspired bytennis racket grip: at the end, just like at the base of the racket handle, the Roland-Garros logo is imprinted. On the center console, also the induction charging mat for smartphones hides a link with the world of tennis: it was used for the production process rammed earth dust. In the same spirit, the cockpit is complemented by “rammed earth” mats. Finally, the “Croce di Sant’Andrea” graphic is repeated on the brushed aluminum door sills, while the writing “Roland-Garros Paris” is also included.

ONE YEAR OF WAITING New Renault 5 Roland-Garros will be on sale from 2025, a few months after the debut of the ”standard” Renault 5 range, expected for the second half of 2024. The price? Go back to paragraph one… In any case, budget for something more than the basic 24,000 euros.
