Yesterday afternoon, shortly after 4.00 pm, a serious road accident occurred along the Appian Way at km 129.200, in the Municipality of Itri. The Fire Brigade of the Latina Command were called to intervene after a young motorcyclist was found injured on an embankment adjacent to the road.

Rescue Details

The territorial team of the Gaeta Fire Brigade, which promptly arrived on site, discovered that the motorcyclist, a foreign girl of around 20 years old, had suffered serious injuries following the fall from her motorbike. The difficulty of the terrain, particularly steep and uneven, made it necessary to carry out advanced technical rescue operations.

Complex Rescue Operations

Using specialized rescue techniques, rescuers stabilized the girl before proceeding with a safe recovery. The rescue operations were conducted with the help of specific equipment to ensure the safety of both the victim and the rescue team.

Medical Assistance and Transportation

Once made safe, the young woman was entrusted to the care of 118 staff, who provided initial medical assistance on site. Given the seriousness of her condition, it was decided to immediately transfer her to hospital by air ambulance, which allowed rapid transport to the hospital center in Rome.
