The Titanic, the famous ocean liner which tragically sank in 1912, has entered the collective imagination of many people also thanks to popular culture and James Cameron’s Oscar-winning film starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet. Now an Australian tycoon, Clive Palmerwould be about to give life to Titanic II, a re-edition of the ship with a tragic fate.

Clive Palmer, president of the Blue Star Line shipping company, has been trying to build a new Titanic since 2012. The passengers, who should be 2,345 in total, will also be able to dress in the clothes that were used in 1900, even if the dress code it’s not mandatory. The Titanic II it should have nine decks and 835 cabins: of these almost half will be reserved for first class passengers.

Third class passengers, as we saw in James Cameron’s film, will be able to eat at a long wooden dining table, as on the original ship, although a spokesperson said other meals will also be available for those wanting an experience less authentic. As the luxury ship sector becomes increasingly saturated, Palmer reveals that his goal is to bring a real dream come true, bringing people closer to a ship they have only imagined.
