Olimpia Milano wins the direct clash against Pallacanestro Brescia

EA7 Emporio Armani Milano prevails in the big match against Germani Brescia. The start of the match was all in the name of the red and whites given that, beyond an acceleration from Della Valle and a winning low post from Bilan, Melli, Caruso and Napier exploited their skills from distance to score a first break at 12- 4. Subsequently, Shields and Tonut are also added to the Olimpia arch festival, Massinburg and Bilan try to make themselves heard in the colorful opponent with a rebound in attack but a jumper from Flaccadori and another bomb, this time from Ricci, confirms the +8 EA7 Emporio Armani against Della Valle and his companions (23-15).

At the end of the quarter, Bilan and an excellent cut from Akele bring Germani back to -4, but Milan is glacial both with Hall from the line and with an excellent Flaccadori, who beats the siren with the triple of 28-21 after 10′ of match. However, Germani remains on point, thanks also to the talent of Massinburg in 1vs1 and the power of Burnell from the low post, Hall from the arc and a nice counterattack between Valentine and Shields respond for Olimpia and then an acceleration from the returning Petrucelli worth 35-31 on the scoreboard.

Cournooh then takes care of it from the arc and on the counterattack to capitalize on the excellent white and blue defenses for the guest’s -1, although Napier then gives Voigtmann and Valentine some comfortable supports and a fade-away by Ricci makes it 41-36. At the end of the half, Della Valle combines effectively with Bilan and then scores the basket in the paint that seals the opening 20′ of the match at 41-40.

A midrange jumper from Gabriel inaugurates the second half with the guest overtaking, but Caruso and Shields make themselves felt in the opponent’s paint and Napier places two consecutive bombs from the arc that repel the flashes of Petrucelli and his teammates (51-46). A triple by Gabriel and a free throw scored by Burnell bring the Brescia team back to -1, Napier and Tonut are however precise from distance in putting two full possessions back between the teams but Bilan in the paint and the snipers Massinburg and Gabriel make the team celebrate Germani, who makes yet another overtaking at 58-59.

At the end of the quarter, Hall and Shields return to make themselves heard on both sides of the court and a low post from Burnell keeps Brescia in their wake after 30′ of the match (64-61).

Subsequently, the two defenses level up further, Bilan and Hines exchange blows under the scoreboards and then Shields interrupts the impasse by combining with Melli and sending the +8 bomb to the target, before Bilan also moves the net for Brescia (71 -65 with less than 5′ to go).

After another great incursion from Shields, Napier was glacial with the clock stopped, bringing EA7 Emporio Armani ahead by double figures on +11, before a consecutive triple each signed by Petrucelli and Della Valle put Germani back in touch (76 -71 with 3′ left). In the most important moment, however, Melli takes center stage with a triple and a winning tap-in which materialize the excellent red and white defensive sequences and Bilan’s last flashes arrive too late, closing the match at 83-77.
