Francesco Bagnaia against Marc Marquez, no holds barred. This is the battle that represents the long MotoGP race in Jerez, a heated duel for the GP victory with also a good contact between the two, without consequences. The reigning champion did not give in and thus beat his brand mate, taking an even more important victory after the accident and therefore Jorge Martin’s zero. Almost unanimous choice of tires: only Bradl has the soft rear, all the others preferred the double medium. Excellent shot by Marc Marquez immediately in the lead, with Bagnaia immediately making a comeback to catch up with the #93, followed by Martin, Bezzecchi and Alex Marquez. The battle for first position immediately broke out between the eight-time world champion and the reigning MotoGP champion, with the current leader then managing to insert himself between the two. Double Long Lap for Augusto Fernandez due to an early start, while Pedrosa’s race ends very soon, going from the joy of the podium in the MotoGP Sprint to the fall at the Aspar curve. Acosta then has to deal with the consequences of a contact with Zarco at the first corner, as well as being a little bruised after the crash in the warm up. In a short time, several small groups form: Martin has to resist Bagnaia, Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez proceed in tandem, a little further back Alex Marquez opens a quartet made up of Binder, Oliveira and Bastianini.

Fernandez’s sanction worsens, as he has not served the double Long Lap and is given a ride through. Weekend to forget for Espargaro, too optimistic entering the corner, thus also causing Zarco’s crash. Plot twist with 15 laps to go, Martin is down! Green light for Bagnaia, but he has to watch out for both Bezzecchi and Marquez, who are not far away.
