“Peppino Impastato su..one hundred steps in movie” is the theme of the twelfth appointment of “Frammenti-Autoriali-Le idee altre”, meetings promoted by the “Festival Internazionale Marateale” and now in their fifteenth edition.
In collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo “G. Racioppi”, the meeting on Peppino Impastato made known through video installations, documentaries, fiction is presented on 29 April in the audiovisual room (2.00 pm) of the aforementioned school… We remember that the journalist from Cinisi he was murdered by the mafia in May 1978 at just thirty years old.
Peppino paid the price for his denunciations made by the microphones of one of the first free broadcasters in Italy: Radio Out.
The commitment and civil (and political) passion of Peppino Impastato they still remain a lesson today.
A very vivid lesson for those who think that the fight against the mafia takes place at the heart of social struggles.
Participating with the students of the institute are Mimmo Mastrangelo, curator of “Frammenti-autoriali”, Alfonso Panebianco, teacher of literature and history at the “G.Racioppi” Comprehensive Institute, and Nicola Timpone, director of the “Festival Internazionale Marateale”.
