Terrible accident this morning on the Western Ring Road, at the entrance to the A4 towards Turin, shortly after Pero. The collision involved 13 people and several cars, causing an emergency situation which led to the closure of the section of road affected by the Polstrada. Traffic is completely blocked, creating inconvenience for motorists.

The accident occurred around 7 in the morning. Six ambulances and two medical vehicles sent by the Regional Emergency Emergency Agency attended the scene, with a red code for two of the injured. A 24-year-old young man was transported in critical condition to the San Carlo hospital in Milan, while a 22-year-old girl was rushed to Niguarda.

The other injured, with traumas of varying degrees, were transported to various Milanese hospitals with yellow or green codes. The police and firefighters intervened to ensure safety at the site of the accident, which is still under investigation to understand its dynamics.

The A8 Milano Laghi is the record-breaking highway. Almost a century after the inauguration which took place on 21 September 1924 they made it the first toll motorway built in Italy, a new record has arrived thanks to the expansion works which make it the first and so far only five-lane Italian motorway.
