Important victory for Atalanta Under 19 on the thirty-first day of the regular season of the Primavera 1 championship, at home to Lazio. The Bergamo players beat Lazio 3-1 at home and overtake their direct opponents to third place in the standings, also doing a favor to leaders Inter who now have eight points to manage to go directly to the semi-finals (today Chivu’s boys and Rome). La Dea goes ahead in the 27th minute with Riccio and doubles the lead at the end of the first half with the relentless Vlahovic. Manzoni scores the hat trick already at the start of the second half and the Biancocelesti respond only with Kone in the final minutes of the match.

Yesterday was an important afternoon, also for Monza. The Brianza team suffered a 1-0 defeat at the “Puma House of Football” against Milan, fresh from the Youth League final lost against Olympiakos, but overcame the goal scored by Liberali in the first half thanks to the winning flashes of Marras and Antunovic. With these three points the red and whites move away from the last position in the table, occupied by Frosinone and therefore from possible relegation to Primavera 2. On the other hand, Abate’s team (in the photo), which still has a game to recover on Wednesday 1 May at 3pm against Bologna, they remain seventh and therefore out of the playoff zone. Torino, sixth, is currently at +2 but can gain a margin if they score points in the derby at Juventus tomorrow.

In the next round, Inter will return to play at home on Saturday against Verona (1pm). Two hours before the survival match between Monza and Frosinone, a great opportunity for the hosts to definitively move away from the bottom of the rankings. Atalanta will instead be on the pitch on Sunday at 3pm in Bologna, against the second-to-last in the standings, while Milan will play on Monday at 3.30pm in the den of the reigning Italian champions Lecce.
