Patrick Cutrone still decisive with his goal. A goal that is worth a lot. Como drew 1-1 away with Sampdoria. With this result, the Como team maintain a fundamental one-point advantage over Venezia, who prevailed 2-1 over Cremonese in the match. A match, the one at the Marassi stadium, which saw the Azzurri proactive and well placed on the pitch, with numerous opportunities in their favour. But, as often happens in these cases, it was the hosts who took the lead, surprisingly, with a goal from Fabio Borini in the 66th minute. An achievement that the guests could have paid dearly for, in the ranking, but in the end Cutrone took care of it, in the fray, to make an impact in the 82nd minute.
Parma leads the standings with 73 points. The Emilians beat Lecco, mathematically relegated to Serie C. Como is in second place with 68 points, one point ahead of Venezia (67). In the event of a draw – it must be remembered – the lagoon players would have the upper hand due to the better situation in the direct clashes. Further back is Cremonese, fourth with 60 points.
In the next round, Wednesday 1st May, Como will welcome Cittadella at 3pm at the Sinigaglia stadium, while Venezia will be guests of Catanzaro.
