Today’s match at the Tardini was without history. League leaders Parma “avenged” the defeat in the first leg by inflicting a peremptory 4-0 on the Blucelesti. The two goals by Bernabè (16′ and 31′) and Mihaila (23′) in the first half and that by Camara in the 43rd minute of the second half are the culmination of a match never in question. Parma are in another category and you can tell that from the start.
On the pitch – and in the stands – two opposite states of mind. For Parma, a taste of celebration in view of the now close promotion to Serie A and for Lecco who sinks into Serie C with three days to spare before the end of the cadet championship.
The Blucelesti did not lack the contribution of their fans: 712 reached the Tardini today and never stopped cheering on the team. And they did it even after the final whistle which confirmed their relegation. And the Blucelesti fans themselves are perhaps the only real winners of this season.
