2024 is a year full of new arrivals on the car market front, with manufacturers wanting to accelerate the transition towards electric. Fiat will debut the new Panda on July 11tha car that gets a lot of talk about itself, and not just for the fact that it is battery-powered, but remembering that it will also be available with a hybrid petrol engine.
The biggest change will concern its design, since it will be a B-segment SUV with a completely new line, which opens up a new generation of vehicles for the Fiat brand. Opel, here is the new challenger to the Panda
Nowadays, there is nothing but talk of electric cars, and the objective of the manufacturers is to lower their prices as much as possible, so as to be able to start spreading this new technology. Well, one of the challengers to the new Fiat Panda could be a new low-cost Opelwhich has started to be talked about in recent days.
Speaking to the microphones of “AutoBild“, the big boss Florian Huettl confirmed this news that had been circulating for some time, warning its rivals. According to what he said, the new zero-emission Opel will have to cost less than 25 thousand eurosthus entering the segment of battery-powered city cars that can be considered economical, even if there is a long way to go before adopting this term.
According to what emerges, the new Opel could share the platform with the Citroen E-C3 and the new Fiat Pandasince all three are part of the group Stellantis. As we know, the Panda and the E-C3 will have in common a powertrain with 113 horsepower of maximum power and a range of approximately 320 km, data that could be shared with the new model from the German company.
According to Huettl, there is no precise date regarding the launch of this car, but he explained how the new generation of electric cars will be able to reduce production costs, in order to also lower the list prices.
