New York, April 26, 2024 – Frank Tyson as George Floyd. A 53 year old African American, And died under police custody in Guangzhou, in Ohioafter an agent has it stuck on the ground with his knee on his neck and shortly after shouting “I can not breathe”. The police released the video of 36 minutes of the accident which occurred on April 18, and into which an investigation has been launched. The officers involved were temporarily suspended.
What happened
The police were looking for Tyson after the man was ended up against an electric pole and then ran away, finding shelter in a veterans’ club. When officers arrived, Tyson began screaming “they want to kill me”.
In the background – the American media report – a voice can be heard saying “they want to help you”. The police then stopped him and put him on the ground, with one of the officers immobilizing him with the knee on neck at least for 30 seconds to allow another officer to handcuff him.
Motionless on the floor
Tyson began repeatedly saying “I can’t breathe”, and the officers told him to calm down. It wasn’t until more than five minutes later that Tyson appeared motionless on the floor, the police check his pulse and find there is no pulse. More minutes pass before it is practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitationthen an ambulance arrives and the man is taken to hospital where he is declared dead.
