Andrea Mazzon’s post-victory comment
Andrea Mazzon, Reyer women’s coach: “I think that, at the beginning, Roma played with a small quintet and it certainly put us in difficulty, they were very aggressive. As for us, however, I think we felt the tension of the debut. We had 7 turnovers in the first quarter for the first time.”
“Throughout the year, however, there are some very good things because tonight, all the girls who played, got on the scoresheet and it’s a very, very good thing. Everyone had fun playing. We won a good match, but now we’re thinking about Monday, in Rome which will certainly be tough. It will be tough and we know it, however, we have the advantage of the field and these are the playoffs.”

The statements of Vincenzo Di Meglio, Roma basketball coach: “When Venezia is on the ball it is very difficult to play against them. They have various solutions that always put us in difficulty. We are a bit short, we know it and we are at the fourth match in 9 days, so there is a bit of tiredness, also due to the rotations. We can say, at least, that we are committed to it, I can’t regret anything. It’s a shame the score could have been a little smaller in the gap, but it’s ok, this is when you make a playoff against a great team.”
“We’ll take a few days off and then we’ll try to prepare a little something for the match in Rome in front of our fans. It would be a shame to end the year with a wide gap, but before thinking about this, let’s think about putting Venice in difficulty with the weapons we have and see what will happen in Monday’s match.”
