People Davide Torchia spoke exclusively to the microphones of TuttoMercatoWeb.com during the usual column The agent’s voice. We must try not to spend a lot and this is where the figure of the coach comes in, who is asked to achieve certain results: returning to the Champions League and reach at least the Italian Cup final, as well as the Club World Cup with the consequent new entries. To get there, young people are valorised, this is what was asked of Mister Allegri, the objective is 90% achieved and therefore the coach did his job fully.”
And what do you say to those who criticize Juventus’ play??
“We must not forget that football is made by the fans, who want their team to win. This is fundamental. Think of the match that Ancelotti’s Real Madrid played against Guardiola’s Manchester City. If Allegri’s Juve had done it … And instead i blancos just like that they reached the semi-final of the Champions League.”
As a former goalkeeper, he expected Sommer to be like this at Inter?
“Only an unwary person could say that Sommer had been taken to plug a hole. We are talking about a strong goalkeeper, of international level. Like the other Inter players, he had a great season, also offering something more than that for which he had been taken.”
Atalanta no longer wants to stop.
“It seemed like it had slowed down, but Atalanta remains a very strong club. It has structures, a club, it bought the stadium: all things that determine results. Lately it has also made another leap, the economic one. For example, Scamacca has arrived, which for me is the best Italian 9 ever. The Nerazzurri’s investment is now bearing fruit. Scamacca’s absence in the Italian Cup final will have a significant impact.”
Christos Mandas has instead won the gloves as a starter for Lazio?
“It wasn’t easy to replace a pillar like Provedel. Even in Roma I see a very strong Svilar. Among the Italian goalkeepers I mention Carnesecchi, the most beautiful to look at in terms of technique, but also Caprile. He is very young, but he has already had a championship Serie B at the top in a very hot place like Bari. He’s doing well at Empoli, in my opinion Napoli can aim for it.”
What do you like about this Champions League Bologna?
“The finish line is close, there is a huge enthusiasm that leads you to surpass your limits. Bologna plays, they have self-esteem and they can do it. However, I don’t expect them to make calculations.”
Fiorentina can win the Conference League?
“Yes, also because he has the experience of last year behind him. The same goes for Roma in the Europa League after the experiences of the last two years. I’m very confident for both.”
