Stable in via Albarina: “What will be the exact purpose?”

“In the end, what will be the exact purpose of the structure and who will manage it? A private entity? (therefore for a fee?)”. These are just some of the questions from the mayoral candidate of ‘Together for Vanzaghello’, Rino Giani, on the new Health Center in via Albarina. “How is it possible, in fact, to design and carry out the renovation of a property in a generic way (with huge public resources) without first having identified a real objective and the subjects who will have to manage the services? And without serious, in-depth and preventive shared research with the population? After all, framed as it is, unfortunately it doesn’t seem to me to be the ideal structure for a day center for the elderly or for a Socio-Educational Center for people with disabilities, to name just two examples, which however would have required a study more precise and innovative. Perhaps it can be reserved for clinics of various kinds, certainly useful, but the problem is not the spaces for the clinics, but the medical and nursing staff of the National Health Service of which there is a shortage, as the population well knows of Vanzaghello and beyond. Are we sure that these hypothetical laboratories represent the priority for Vanzaghello today? Are we sure that we couldn’t aim for a better goal? Otherwise the inauguration was just an empty building, compared to an important issue that worries many citizens such as health.”
