NAPLES – They were held yesterday within the friendly walls of Volley Napoli Final Four CSI for the Girls category. The young Under14 athletes they faced each other in the final stages of their championships at the PalaTorricelli in Pianura, in one splendid audience setting. A beautiful day of sport for all the clubs that took part in this event.
«Our Under14, in the 3/4th place final against Volley World, took the lowest step of the podium (2-0). – The coach of Volley Napoli, Alessandro Maione, spoke thus on the sidelines of the event – It was a huge satisfaction since we have we achieved our seasonal goal and we did it by showing off a good performance. In small steps we are approaching “volleyball for grown-ups” and we are doing so with enthusiasm and personality. This is even more important than the result».
The results of the other Under14 teams
After the Under14 challenge for third and fourth place, the teams of Marechiaro and Partenope challenged each other to compete for the top step of the podium. Marechiaro’s team, coached by coach Romano, brought home the gold medal in this competition. «Marechiaro, who won 2-0, produced an excellent performancethe result of the great work done by the coach», continues Mister Maione.
At the end of the event, the sponsor of Volley Napoli ADJ awarded two MVPs: one for the 3/4th place final, the blue setter, Miriam Castellano; and one for the 1/2nd place final, the opposite of Marechiaro, Elena Colonna.
A splendid day of sport, fueled by the passion of the young athletes. May 8th will be held, again at the PalaTorricelli in Pianura, the Final Four Student category.
