The wait increased day by day, hour by hour and finally now we know the new shirt with which the Biancoceleste team will take the field against Empoli on the weekend of 11-12 May, it is not yet known when the match will be played even if the ideal would be to play it on Sunday to mark exactly 50 years.
SS Lazio and Mizuno celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the first historic Scudetto with the “Special 50th Anniversary kit”.
On May 12th, exactly 50 years will have passed since the final whistle from referee Panzino officially sanctioned the victory of our club’s first historic Scudetto. That team, which succeeded in the extraordinary feat of beating the great teams from the North, was made up of a group of semi-unknown boys led by Tommaso Maestrelli, the Maestro.
To celebrate that legendary team and that historic achievement, SS Lazio and Mizuno have created a “Special 50th Anniversary Kit” that the team will wear on the 36th matchday of the championship against Empoli. A dedicated communication campaign covered the city with images of the Lazio players of ’74 flanked by some protagonists of the Lazio of 2024 in the Panini sticker version.
The “Special 50th Anniversary Kit” worn in the match by today’s players (shirt, shorts and socks) will be accompanied by a capsule collection of clothing freetime and accessories, consisting of a track jacket, a t-shirt, a cap, a backpack and a gym bag.
SS Lazio white and light blue are the celebratory colors of this very suggestive kit. The shirt is enclosed inside a special box made with premium embossed details.
HONOR TO THE HEROES
To make this shirt even more unique and special, some details that embellish the design.
The names of the entire squad and of coach Tommaso Maestrelli form delicate vertical stripes in relief on the shirt.
The wide edges of the collar and sleeves are retro ribbed in white.
On the upper part of the back, under the collar, a tricolor band recalls the Scudetto won.
On the front of the shirt, on the right, under the club crest, a golden banner and the writing 73-74 appear as a clear reference to the trophy won, while on the left side the Mizuno Runbird logo is applied.
THE MATERIALS
