A road accident occurred a little while ago, around 10 in the morning, along via Bruno Buozzi in Castel Gandolfo. The accident involved two vehicles, an Audi and a Jeep. The impact was violent enough to partially overturn the Jeep, which ended its journey semi-overturned on the side of the road, while the Audi, which was traveling in the direction of Castel Gandolfo, stopped in the middle of the road, not far from the intersection with the road that leads to the lake.
The Carabinieri promptly intervened on site to assess the circumstances of the accident and establish the causes of the collision. The Marino Fire Brigade also arrived with them, on board the 15A tanker, to secure the area and assist in the rescue efforts. Fortunately there were no serious injuries, but traffic along Via Bruno Buozzi was slowed down due to the accident and the road clearing and safety operations.
The Carabinieri are gathering information and testimonies to understand the dynamics of the accident. At the moment, no details have been disclosed on the conditions of the drivers of the vehicles involved, nor on any responsibilities.
The repercussions on traffic are inevitable, with the temporary closure of the road, before being able to proceed with the alternate one-way route. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, or proceed with caution, while they await further developments on the causes of the accident and the consequences on traffic times.
