A 56-year-old Peruvian woman, a carer by profession, was seriously stabbed by her partner, a 66-year-old Italian, who attacked her because she wanted to end the relationship. The man then fled after attempting to set fire to the house where they lived together. It happened last night in the Como area, in an apartment on Via Montegrappa in Mariano Comense where the two had been living for some time together with her nephew.
It was the nephew who heard his aunt’s screams and raised the alarm. The firefighters intervened and immediately put out the fire, while the woman was admitted to hospital, hit by six blows to her chest, armpit and left arm. The prognosis is reserved, but her life is not in danger. The attack, according to initial information, was due to the fact that she intended to end the relationship and had ordered the man to leave the house. During her escape he took away the weapon with which he injured his partner, a kitchen knife, and her bag containing 500 euros. He is now wanted by the police.
