TOURNAMENT / UNDER 16 – Liguria won the event played yesterday in Novarello thanks to goal difference. For the Piedmontese selection, a draw with the Ligurians, a defeat against Lombardy and a good 4-2 victory against Emilia Romagna
Goal difference was used to establish the final ranking of the “National Evolution Tournament” organized by the Piedmont Valle d’Aosta Regional Committee for the Under 16 regional representatives and played yesterday in Novarello. All four teams finished on equal points, but the Ligurian selection scored one goal more than the Piedmontese team (thanks to the sensational 3-0 against Lombardy) and finished in first place.
After the 0-0 in their debut against the Ligurians, the Piedmont Vda boys lost narrowly against Lombardy, but made up for it in a big way in the last match against Emilia Romagna, which they beat 4-2.
