It could really be a market fiery that ofInter. In addition to the usual national competitions and the new format of the Champions League, in fact, the Nerazzurri will be busy well beyond the May period next year to also participate in the Club World Cup for which they have qualified.
Keep the big players and shore up the squad
The Viale della Liberazione club has every intention of keeping intact the good things built last summer, therefore retaining the big shots of Simone Inzaghi’s squad, while also fleshing out some areas. Three sectors in particular: the goal, the defense and the attack. The Nerazzurri management moved forward by booking two signings for zero but with great prospects such as Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi.
Both have already undergone medical examinations and just need to sign their respective contracts. But between now and the start of the next championship, Inter is destined to cover the four certain farewells of Sensi, Klaassen, Sanchez and Cuadrado as free agents. This will lead to a saving in salary but, consequently, also the need to cover uncovered boxes.
The three strong names
At the moment there are three hot objectives of Piero Ausilio and Beppe Marotta for the incoming market, starting from Bento Krepski of Athletico Paranaense. In all likelihood, Audero will not be bought out by Sampdoria, while the Brazilian born in 1999 is liked, and so is Inter, who intend to pair him with Sommer in a growth path that will then see him as a starter in the 2025-26 season. The goalkeeper’s valuation is at least 20-25 million by the Brazilian club that holds his contract.
Moving on to defense, the fixed point already designated as Acerbi’s heir is Alexander Good morning, vice captain of Torino and favorite of President Cairo. The Granata number one would not like to deprive himself of it, but if the 24-year-old were to ever express his dream of joining a big club with European aims, at that point the owner would loosen his grip despite starting from a price of at least 40 million euros.
Last, but not least, the attacker. And the favorite profile, in addition to Zirkzee, is that of Albert Gudmundsson: the Icelandic born in ’97 has amazed everyone this season with the Genoa shirt with his technical notes and scores to envy (15 goals and 4 assists in all competitions). Inter would see him well with both Thuram and Lautaro, but also as the Frenchman’s alter ego and paired with the Bull, without ignoring the 26-year-old’s ability to also act as a midfielder. The request of Griffin varies between 25 and 30 million.
In short, to score these three goals, Inter would have to scrape together a treasure of 100 million which should be found without giving up the big names. One idea would be to sell Dumfries to raise cash. In addition to the placement of youth and redundancies elsewhere, and without forgetting the wildcard Valentin Carboni up his sleeve, whose valuation stands at 30 million euros and for whom several Premier League teams would have laid their eyes.
