The 2023/24 Uisp Championship ends with the victory of Newcastle who win the “Hardware Market Trophy”. The black and white team got the better of West Bromwich at the end of a beautiful final, played on the edge of balance.
As often happens in these matches, it was the details that made the difference:
WBA ended the first half in the lead thanks to Pipponzi’s goal, but Perugini equalized in the second half, followed by goals from Bassanelli and Scordia a few turns from the end.
At the final whistle it is therefore a celebration for the Newcastle boys who, after four years, return to raise a trophy to the skies of Secondiano Cosimi, winning their first winter title.
There was a large audience in the stands last night who applauded both teams and the winners of the individual awards:
Flavio Borreale best player and best assist man, Marco Mastropietro best scorer, best goalkeeper Andrea Costa and finally best goal and best save respectively assigned to Alexander Valchev and Dario Corradini.
The players of the month were also awarded: Berardozzi, Mastropietro, Fa, Lai, Capobianchi and Zampollini.
An ever-increasing success for this event in which 20 teams and more than 300 athletes participated and which now stands as a reality and an important sporting movement in our city and in the surrounding area.
