With group A now defined, theUnder 19 women’s from the Lazio has finally learned the opponent she will compete against in the first round of the playoffs. The Biancocelesti, on 4 and 11 May, will therefore be involved in a fascinating double challenge with Arianna Pomposelli’s La Scala team, fresh winners of the category’s Italian Cup in Genoa. “Facing the Audace Verona – he begins Marika Umbro – it will certainly be very stimulating and, certainly, not a walk in the park: they are a good team, they have just won an important trophy following a great match and they will certainly aim to do an encore, but this shouldn’t matter to us” .
BOLD – The goalkeeper of the Capitoline knows that his team has all it takes to play two notable performances against the holders of the Italian Super Cup and the tricolor ribbon: “I fully believe in my teammates, we are a compact group with quality. We have never faced the Scala team, but we are studying the match to be ready. Ultimately, I’m happy that this is exactly the combination.” Umbro & Co, therefore, are more ready than ever for the double match with the Rossonere: “I expect a fight, a heart-pounding match played to the max by both teams. We can’t wait to get on the field.”
THE BUDGET – The youth team of coach Chiara Peri and dittì Giorgio Regni, however, has a great regular season behind them, culminating with the top of group B. “All in all, I am very satisfied with how the championship went: we won them all , with the exception of the last two matches (a 2-2 draw with Perugia and a 1-0 defeat against Club Sport, ed.) in which we would certainly have done better, especially as regards the second, but there is no room for complain. I am proud of my teammates and of our journey.” The Eagles’ goalkeeper, for his part, wants to continue to be a protagonist together with his teammates also in the postseason: “We will face the playoffs with determination and there will be a great desire to do well. We have trained hard and, for sure, we will give it our all”, concludes Umbro.
