Youth Diving Meet. Three meter gold Santoro
UPDATING – Second day of the International Youth Diving Meet in Dresden and second gold medal for the Italians. The conquest Matteo Santoro, world silver and bronze in Doha and Fukuoka and European bronze in Rome with mixed synchro, trained by Alice Palmieri for MR Sport F.lli Marconi, in the three-metre springboard with 572 points and a very difficult competition series which also including the quadruple and a half ahead. In the morning he finished third in the preliminary with 512.15 behind the two Ukrainians Kyrylo Azarov and Maksym Mirza. The other Italian in the final Valerio Mosca ranked seventh with 502.05. Kyrylo Azarov stops in second place with 30.25 points behind Santoro.
At the spring competitions in Turin, Matteo Santoro won the synchronized trampoline paired with Stefano Belotti and was fifth in the one-meter jump and fourth in the individual three-meter jump (388.05); Allice Palmieri’s student is vice world champion in the mixed in Doha together with Chiara Pellacani.
Italy’s haul goes up and three medals after two days: gold by Santoro from three meters, gold by Pelligra and Conte from the synchro platform and bronze by Davide Barberi, Simone Conte, Giorgia De Sanctis and Irene Pesce in the team event.
