The Council of Volunteers and Associations of Cesenatico has announced the usual competition in favor of third sector bodies in Cesenatico, for the allocation of the proceeds from the occasional sale of “Tents by the sea” during the year 2022/2023. The voluntary associations had the opportunity to present their solidarity projects and receive funding for carrying out the proposed activities. An initiative, that of the “Tents to the sea” tender, which has been carried out for years in collaboration with the municipal administration and with the participation of high schools, in particular the Academy of Fine Arts of Ravenna, and which translates into a a sign of concrete support for the world of active citizenship and solidarity.

At the conclusion of the tender, the project evaluation commission met on Wednesday, led by Catia Sasselli, president in office of the Cesenatico volunteering council and by Carla Tabarri Benelli, vice-president of VolontaRomagna Odv, the volunteering service center of Romagna, which sponsored the initiative. Also present were the vice-president of the Consulta, Franco Zedda, and two representatives of associations excluded from the competition because they were among the winners of the last edition: Claudia De Pascali, president of L’Isola di Nicole Aps and Matteo Cantoni, president of Generazione Ziz Aps. After carefully examining the projects, the commission evaluated them based on social and environmental sustainability criteria, their attention to people with disabilities and assigning a bonus for co-designed activities.

The first place went to Oasi Desirée Aps with the “An island for all” project, followed by Radio Societo Cesenatico and the Cesenatico Fire Brigade Supporters’ Association, which, thanks to the funding, will renew the emergency vehicles and will thus be supported, above all in their emergency work. The good news doesn’t end there. In fact, the commission unanimously decided that, given the originality and social value of the projects presented, everyone will be awarded a prize equal to two hundred euros, as a sign of encouragement and closeness in doing good for the community.
