Descriptive text here

The art of Friuli Venezia Giulia will be the protagonist in Brussels from 14 May to 21 February 2025 through six exhibitions, set up atItalian Cultural Institute and to theLiaison office of the FVG Region, which will respectively see the participation of five artists from Trieste, including Leonor Fini, and five artists from Friuli and Trieste, present with a total of around 250 works including paintings, drawings, theatrical and non-theatrical sketches, sculptures and ceramics. Also on display are photographs, letters, documents, books, clothes, perfumes, accessories, jewelery and objects. The pieces on display have never been presented in Belgium: among them, various unpublished, rare and little-known materials.

From 14 May to 31 July 2024 the exhibition Trieste female art of the 20th century of the Italian and European avant-garde, will in fact host the works of Trieste artists at the Italian Cultural Institute Leonor Fini, Maria Lupieri, Maria Melan, Anita Pittoni and Miela Reina.

From the 5 September 2024 to 21 February 2025 at the Liaison Office of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in Brussels, will instead take place, under the title The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in Brussels through its artiststhe personal exhibitions of Friulian painters Giorgio Celiberti, Claudio Mario Feruglio and Toni Zanussi and the people of Trieste Edoardo Devetta and Livio Rosignano.

The exhibitions will be characterized by a multimedia slant, consisting of a very contemporary interweaving of visual art, music and light with light projections and musical performances. After Brussels, the exhibitions will be transferred to other Italian cultural institutes and institutional locations around the world and to Trieste.

The project, promoted by Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and fromFoemina APS Associationcreated in co-production with the Italian Cultural Institute of Brussels, with the patronage of the Municipality of Trieste and conceived and curated by Marianna Accerboniaims to bear witness in the heart of Europe to the particular creativity of the artists of this territory through some of its most representative protagonists, who embody different tendencies and languages, with the aim of offering a synthetic but exhaustive picture of creativity and the particular artistic reality culture of the Region.

Furthermore, through targeted meetings with young Belgian artists and Belgian schools, an awareness-raising work focused on the art of Trieste and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region will be promoted with the possibility for young and very young Belgian artists and students to exhibit at Trieste and in the FVG Region and for young Julian and Friulian people to exhibit in Belgium, creating a current of mutual cultural exchange between the two countries also through themed competitions in our territory (as has already happened for other exhibitions organized by Accerboni in Brussels).
