Wife and husband threatened with death by their 15-year-old daughter’s boyfriend because they don’t approve of the relationship. 21-year-old young man arrested: “He’s dangerous”

SALGAREDA / NOVENTA DI PIAVE – Ha broke the windows of the home of a family in Noventa di Piave and then threaten husband and wifehomeowners, of cut their throats with a piece of glass. Amine Meatallah, 21 yearsoriginally from Morocco and resident in Salgareda, in the province of Treviso, was arrested on charges of trespassing and, yesterday morning, at the opening of the direct trial, the criminal judge of Venice, Enrico Ciampaglia, ordered the precautionary measure of prison for him, as he was considered socially dangerous. It is not the first time that the young man has behaved in a violent manner: last April 20 he was the protagonist of an attack against the same woman, who he lifted and then threw to the ground, causing her to femur fracture and forcing her to undergo surgery. Episode for which the prosecutor’s office opened an independent investigation file, in which the twenty-one year old is under investigation for the crime of injury.

The relationship

To understand the story it is necessary to take a step back: the young man, in fact, appears to have started a project some time ago romantic relationship with his fifteen year old daughter of the married couple from Noventa, who did not look favorably on the relationship and opposed it, kicking the boy out of the house, to whom the daughter had allowed access to the family home. This evidently triggered the violent reaction, which materialized in mid-April inassault against the fifteen-year-old’s motherwho still suffers the consequences. The most recent episode, which prosecutor Andrea Petroni is investigating, dates back to Tuesday: the couple from Noventa di Piave returned to their home to discover that the windows had been torn off. Inside the house they found Meatallah sleeping: the young man woke up, pointed a fragment of glass at them, and threatened them, repeatedly miming the gesture of cutting their throats. The police were then called and made the arrest. Yesterday morning, at the Citadel of Justice in Venice, the immediate trial began on charges of trespassing. The young man provided his explanations to the judge with the help of an interpreter, as he claimed not to speak the Italian language.

The decision

The prosecutor then requested the issuance of a precautionary measure in prison, a measure indicated as necessary in light of the repeated violent behaviour, always aimed at the damage of the married couple from Noventa di Piave. And the judge granted the request. The hearing was therefore postponed following the granting of terms for the defense: while awaiting trial, the twenty-one year old will remain in prison, guaranteeing the husband and wife a period of tranquility. But right now the couple is worried about what might happen when the young man is released back into freedom.
