Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a one and done game, with Ubisoft having already made it clear that it does not want to publish any DLC that could expand the story told of the base game. This, however, is not to say that the company has run out of ideas for developing Basim’s character.
During an AMA (Ask me Anything) session on Reddit, several Ubisoft developers answered some questions about Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the future of the franchise. This was the opportunity to spark hopes of returning to take on Basim’s shoes in a future chapter of the series.
“We are thrilled with the reception given to Mirage! Mirage [è stato creato] as an experience in itself, without any [DLC pianificato]”explained creative director Stephane Boudon. “However, we definitely have ideas on how to extend Basim’s story. But as of today, there is no post-launch content planned for Mirage”.
At the moment, It’s unclear how Basim might reappear in Assassin’s Creed. While Boudon said there are no plans for a Mirage DLC, that doesn’t rule out speculation of a direct sequel or a cameo in future Assassin’s Creed games.
