Extremely serious accident at work in the early afternoon of today in Postalesio, in an Imi Fabi warehouse: a 57-year-old man, while he was working inside the warehouse, apparently fell from a height of a few meters and ended up violently on the ground.
A few moments later, some of the man’s colleagues, an electrician, noticed what had happened and immediately raised the alarm, which went off around 2.30pm in code red, the most serious one.
An ambulance, a medical vehicle and also an air ambulance were on site: the doctors provided initial treatment on site to the 57-year-old who was then transported by helicopter to the Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo, where he always arrived in code red and in very serious conditions, a few minutes before 4pm, so much so that he found himself hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The carabinieri of the Sondrio Company also arrived in the warehouse to investigate the exact dynamics of the accident, and the ATS della Montagna staff to ascertain, in turn, whether some regulations relating to safety at work had not been respected.
