Support biodiversity of the territory e reconstruct a natural area of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, destroyed first by a fire in 2017 and then in 2020 by storm Alex, with gusts of wind over 110 km/h that knocked down plants and entire wooded lots.
This is the goal of project of reforestation which was made by Net Climatea technical body that has been implementing ESG projects for companies for over 10 years, and supported by ATI composed by DHD., SAIMP SRL And Mezzanzanica Spa within the scope of the order for Alfa SRL, the Integrated Water Service Manager of the province of Varese.
The works started today, Wednesday 24 April, with a event in which they took part: Paul Viganò (president of Rete Clima), Joseph Bar (President Campo dei Fiori Regional Park), Giancarlo Bernasconi (Director of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park), Luca Lolaico (Territorial Operations Director ALFA SRL), Turri Mamo (Sole director of DHD srl), Cristian Mezzanzanica (partner and special attorney Mezzanzanica Spa).
The reforestation intervention in the area included the planting of 540 new plants including trees and shrubs which will be cared for in subsequent years by Rete Clima in coordination with the Campo dei Fiori Parkan organization established in 1984 to protect the area with a high diversity of tree species that grow in the territories that extend from the Campo dei Fiori massif and the Monte Martica massif.
Climate Network approved a specific operating agreement with thePark Authoritywhich made technical and forestry expertise available and involved the forestry companies in the area, identifying the priority areas on which to intervene within a broader project which will include, throughout 2024, forestation interventions where the project contents will be promoted by the Park Authority.
To be part of the consortium of companies that financially and actively supported the project, DHD Srlspecialized in the construction and maintenance of network infrastructures (aqueducts, sewerage and gas); SAIMP SRL a company engaged in various sectors, including road infrastructure construction, the maintenance and construction of sewerage networks and aqueducts, the construction and redevelopment of buildings for industrial, commercial and tertiary purposes, in the private and public sector; MEZZANZANICA SpA., a company that operates in the sectors of road infrastructure, river works, demolitions, sewerage networks and aqueducts, purification and composting plants, earthmoving and industrial construction.
The project was carried out as part of the Alfa Commitment, the Integrated Water Service Manager of the province of Varese, which in fact promoted – together with the Varese Chamber of Commerce – a procurement strategy aimed at simplification the participation of local companies to tenders for interventions to be carried out in their territory of competence.
