Accident at work in Latina, worker dies after 2 weeks


(ANSA) – LATINA SCALO, APRIL 24 – The fifty-one-year-old worker of Romanian origin who last Monday 8 April fell from the roof of a company shed in via Carrara, between Latina Scalo and Sermoneta, did not make it . A flight of over 7 meters which had made it necessary to transport him by air ambulance to the San Camillo hospital in Rome, where he had been hospitalized with a reserved prognosis in the intensive care unit. The man died 48 hours ago due to the very serious injuries he sustained: head trauma, a chest injury and several multiple fractures to his limbs, which proved fatal.

According to what was reconstructed by the staff of the labor inspectorate and the ASL prevention service, who intervened that morning together with the police officers and firefighters, the worker was in the structure on behalf of an individual company, called for the repair of the roof where there was a water leak, from which he then fell. Investigations began immediately by the technicians responsible for monitoring labor and social legislation, who also accessed all the company’s documentation in order to evaluate any requirements in the event that any irregularities were identified. .
