New scam against the elderly in Legnano, this time implemented by a man who pretended to be a gas technician looking for a loss
Legnano – Yet another episode of scam on the elderly with the technique offake loss”. The latest case occurred in the city of Carroccio in recent days.
The victim is one 88 year old lady who lives alone in the Oltrestazione neighborhood. She was at home around midday when a man posing as a gas technician rang her doorbell talking about some fake checks for methane leaks.
The woman trusted him to enter. The scammer deceived the lady by having the safe opened and gold jewelery removed for economic damage yet to be quantified. The criminal then fled.
The police are investigating the matter.
