VIGONOVO – Shortly before 8pm last night, Tuesday 23 April, the firefighters intervened in Via Garibaldi in Vigonovo due to a fire in a garage: no one was injured. The firefighters who rushed from Mestre and Padua (the Mira detachment engaged in another intervention) with two fire engines, two tankers, the air tank and 16 operators, began the extinguishing operations. The teams contained the flames, avoiding the involvement of nearby homes. All contents inside the garage burned. The photovoltaic system located on the roof of the structure was saved. The causes of the flames, which were probably electrical in nature, are being investigated by fire brigade technicians. The complete shutdown and reclamation operations and the safety measures of the photovoltaic system were completed at 2am.
