The latest allocation – arrived with a change to the budget approved on an emergency basis on Tuesday – amounts to 138 thousand euros, to increase the funds for the chapter to 200 thousand. Since the beginning of 2023, however, interventions worth 270 thousand euros have been financed to carry out various operations. The objective, common to all, is to write the word “end” to the era of exemptions for matches and obtain all the necessary certifications, starting with the CPI (Fire Prevention Certificate) for the city’s hockey temple. There is a commitment of almost half a million euros – 470 thousand euros to be precise – from the beginning of 2023 to today for the overall reorganization of the Palazzetto dello Sport in via Piermarini. To summarize all the steps taken on the age-old issue – to which important resources had already been allocated both during the commissioner’s management, in 2017, and during the Casanova administration – is Palazzo Broletto, which also explains what remains to be done today and what other interventions will start from the end of the sports season to the beginning of the next.
The first package of interventions of 270 thousand dated 2023 includes a total of 23 assignments, including real jobs and professional assignments on a complex and detailed lot, which also involved a huge documentary check on the existing situation. Among the interventions already carried out, those to fix the electrical systems, those for the compartmentalization of some rooms for fire prevention purposes, the static tests on the parapets and barriers, with subsequent consolidation interventions, the maintenance of the lighting and the creation of a station dedicated to the state police. And further work was done to test the communication system in the event of an emergency, to verify the fire resistance of the seats in the sports hall and to integrate the smoke detection system with an ad hoc system to automatically detect possible fires in the photovoltaic system, just to name a few. Of this 270 thousand euro package, eight interventions still remain to be completed, but in the meantime there are operations financed for another 200 thousand euros, between the 70 thousand euros present in the chapter and the 138 thousand euros insured this week. With these funds we will work on another 17 interventions in total: among these also the fire reaction tests for the insulation of the cover, the removal and disposal of the child seats and the installation of new ones, the replacement of the existing nylon mesh and the reconstruction of the fence on the edge of the pitch, as well as the creation of a new external lighting system and other operations. In particular, this tranche also includes the works planned by Ats to bring the bar up to standard, on which the debate was also focused in the last city council which ended in a brawl over references to the Ramadan festival.
