According to the reconstruction of the Carabinieri of Catania, for the young woman the coexistence that had begun in an idyllic way with a peer of the same age had turned into a real hell, forced to suffer the harassment and aggression of her “master father” partner. The soldiers of the Catania Radiomobile Unit, alerted and coordinated by the Operations Centre, intervened within a few minutes at the young woman’s home, when her sister, upon the occurrence of yet another serious episode of violence, had called to ask for help. To the Gazelle’s crew, the victim presented herself with a noticeable bandage on her head and a worrying difficulty in speaking, caused by severe pain from the deep wound on the side of her head, inflicted on her the evening before by her ex-partner, also 22 years old. years old, convicted felon from Catania.
The girl apparently decided to open up to the military, saying that a few minutes earlier she had received yet another heavy telephone threat from her ex, who even “announced” that he wanted to cut the throat and head of her and her family.
The young woman would have said that after having “welcomed” the young man to her home, even during the period in which he had been subjected to house arrest for drugs, exhausted, she had “sent” him to his mother’s home without, however, managing to avoid the ex’s maniacal jealousy, which would have kept her under control via social media, also forcing her to continuously share her location on her cell phone with him.
The desperate victim told the police that the day before, in the late afternoon, by agreeing to the request for a “last meeting”, the boy actually met him near the Catania cemetery. Here the 22-year-old, against the will of her wife, pushed her and made her get into her SUV, imposing on her that the last meeting should take place at her house, where he would also smoke his last cigarette and give her the last Kiss. The man, also reported for escape, was made available to the Judicial Authority which, after validating the arrest, ordered him to be placed in precautionary custody in prison.
