Descriptive text here

‘Tourist guides for a day’. The students of the ‘Enrico Mattei’ middle school in Castel di Lama were the guides to the beauty of the city of Ascoli. For one day the students became tourist guides, walking around the city of travertine, they introduced the most beautiful corners and views of the wonderful city to the American students. ‘Discover the hidden gems of Ascoli Piceno’ is the project that the students of the 3rd A and 3rd D classes of the Castel di Lama ‘Mattei’ middle school created thanks to their teachers Meri Vagnoni, Francesca Baggio and Eufrasia Pagnoni. For a day they became tourist guides for some American students from the University of New Hampshire in Ascoli, an institute directed by Professor Cristian Muscelli, and their teacher Professor Silvia Fanesi. The guys from ‘Mattei’ have created multi-voice audio guides in Italian on some of the characteristic places of the city of Ascoli and a brochure in English as support for American girls. The audio guide was born from a long work, which allowed the students to ‘transform’ themselves into tourist guides, but above all to discover their own territory to learn how to take care of it and promote it. The educational trip did not disappoint the expectations of the students, who were able to establish a direct comparison with what they studied in class and subsequently achieved, developing their linguistic, historical, social, digital skills and spirit of initiative.
