«Now more impetus for the territory and businesses»

ANCONA «We have written a page in the history of this bank». This is how the new president of Bcc Ancona and Falconara, Camillo Catana Vallemani, makes his debut after an election session that lasted 10 hours. But it marked a participation never seen before. «Today (yesterday for those reading this) 1,700 voters participated in the meeting: a record» assures Catana Vallemani. «The back of this medal is the great attention that there is around the territorial bank, which carries out a large collection and reuses the funding for the benefit of the territory» explains the new president.

Dualism

But Catana’s election was not at all painless. In fact, for the appointment of president of the bank, two lists were presented: one – the one that led to the election of Catana – was presented by the outgoing board of directors. The other had Giordano Pierlorenzi as leader. The winners trailed the others by about 300 votes. «This necessary dualism has led to a split within our corporate structure – underlines Catana -, but as a result of this division there has been a revival of interest in this bank». Having put aside a thorny election, the management now looks to the next three years of its mandate. «We will start from a phase of consultations with all the employees to hear directly what their impressions and ambitions are for the management of this reality – explains the president -, consultations which will then develop with the administrators of the local territorial bodies, with the Chamber of Commerce, with all the trade associations and professional associations”.

The projects

Catana has clear ideas and projects: «From the development of these contacts we expect a return flow and a progressive growth of this institute – he continues -. By increasing our activity we will be more able to intervene by supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses and also being able to dedicate ourselves to charitable activities.” Therefore: aim to increase the number of members and investors, in order to then be able to carry out an even clearer and more marked action on the territory. The new president already imagines the next day of the new path: «Our mandate will now express the participation of everyone – he states -, the territorial bank is characterized because it generates profits and reuses them in the territory both by lending money for the development of local businesses, and by supporting charitable activities. The greater the bank’s activity with the involvement of businesses, the more we will have this ability to demonstrate our concrete presence in support of small and medium-sized businesses, private individuals, young people and more”. After twelve years under the guidance of the lawyer Sergio Cugini “whom I would like to thank” – Catana pointed out – the Bcc of Ancona and Falconara is now preparing to face a new path, albeit always in continuity with the management of the outgoing board of directors.
