An accident occurred around 10.30 this morning on the A1 towards Bologna at km 0+600 in the stretch between San Giuliano and San Donato Milanese. From initial information there would be two injured: a 49-year-old man and another 56-year-old.

SAN DONATO MILANESE – Traffic paralyzed between the start of the Eastern ring road and the A1 Milan-Naples connection due to an accident involving a heavy vehicle.

The dynamics of the clash

A car, for reasons still under investigation, was hit by a truck, colliding with another articulated lorry and inevitably being crushed. The driver of the car, a 50-year-old Italian, fared the worst.

The air ambulance was also at the scene of the accident

Large deployment of vehicles: the Polstrada officers, the Milan fire brigade and the local police officers of San Giuliano intervened on site, as well as two ambulances, a medical vehicle and the air ambulance sent by the 118 operations centre.

Two men were injured: the conditions

Due to circumstances yet to be clarified, the accident occurred around 10.30 am and is causing long queues and slowdowns. From initial information there would be two injured: a man in his fifties and another aged 56.

The man driving the crushed car was pulled out by the staff of the Piazzale Cuoco detachment and was then transported in serious condition by the 118 air ambulance to San Gerardo in Monza. The other injured person was also taken to the emergency room for further medical checks but fortunately his life is not in danger.
