OLGINATE – The group Aido from Olginate-Valghreghentinoarrange a meeting with the Rapper Chicoria (Armando Sciotto), to draw attention to the donation of organs, tissues and cells. The appointment is for April 30th at 9pm at the Jolly Theater in Olginate, in collaboration with the tomunicipal administrations of Olginate And Valgreghentino and the support of Olginate Community Fund.
The meeting lasts 2 hours and the topics discussed by Chico during his speech are of great relevance and interest even if in some aspects uncomfortable to deal with but for this reason it becomes even more important to be able to discuss them and generate a debate with open questions and answers sincere.
Starting from a reflection on his own life experience, Chico begins the speech by immediately highlighting the importance of continuously learning from life, always being receptive at school and outside to try to acquire as many skills as possible. Chico underlines theimportance of “using your brain”filling him with passion, knowledge, openness to others, desire to learn, all elements that represented his salvation in the worst periods and which he made his life mantra: The more ability and fortitude one possesses, the more possible it will be always getting back into the game, adapting to a rapidly changing society.
Another important topic is thesubstance use and abusewhat selling or consuming substances really entails, trying to dismantle false myths that are often proposed by films, music, television and instead highlighting what are the real consequences of living a life illegally committing crimes and the path it leads to: prison or lose your life. Hence finally the last major topic covered which is prison: what detention means, how life in prison actually takes place and the difficulties of reintegration into society.
A story of civil and social redemption told with great frankness by Armando Sciotto, aka Chicoria, starting from his life experience that began with drug dealing and use which led him to prison, then rebirth through art and his passions pursued with strength of mind and finally redemption with the transformation of the worst experiences into something that can be food for thought for those who listen, putting his knowledge at the service of the common good and his own.
