The bill of the Italian production sector is projected towards 58 billion euros if the agricultural and service sectors are also taken into account. This is highlighted by an analysis of Multicompel Technology, company specialized in the installation of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems based in Abruzzo and operating throughout Italy.

«This is a considerable increase on the already very high bill for 2023» analysts point out Multicompel Technology, according to which the introduction of distributed photovoltaic solutions for self-consumption —through the installation of approximately 50 GWp— would bring the sector to save up to almost 20 billion euros.

Bringing solar to a share equal to 35% of total electricity productionthe need for natural gas would be reduced by 11%.
