Yet another case in just a few days of a driver trying to escape after being involved in an accident with injuries. And once again the urban video surveillance cameras connected to the local police station, together with the promptness of some witnesses, made it possible to quickly trace the perpetrator, who received a report.
This time it is the employee of a company who, entering Via Sarzana within the stretch that crosses the Termo district, collided with a car which then ended up against the wall of a private house. Two women on board who ended up in the emergency room and left with reports of 20 and 50 days respectively.
The man stopped there and then to provide assistance, according to what was reconstructed by the Viale Amendola command, reviewing the recorded images, together with other people who were following the car that had ended up off the road. However, he then suddenly decided to get back on board his work vehicle and set off towards Prati di Vezzano. However, some present had already written down the truck’s license plate, which they handed over to the local officers who arrived on site within a few minutes.
They thus traced the company to which the car belongs and the owner, who indicated the employee who was driving at the time. The man, a fifty-year-old, was summoned to the command and identified for the purposes of the subsequent complaint for the crimes of failure to help and escape after causing a road accident with injuries. His driving licence, immediately withdrawn for subsequent forwarding to the Prefecture, will be suspended for a period ranging from a minimum of two years and six months to a maximum of eight years.
