Daniel Mogeda won the breathtaking race in WSSP300 at Assen.

The battle went down to the wire in the first race of the Supersport 300 world championship in Assen. Daniel Mogeda took victory in an exciting race full of ups and downs, where unpredictable weather conditions added challenge and made the outcome uncertain.

Jeffrey Buis, racing at home for the Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing team, made a strong start from 10th on the grid and led at the end of the first lap. However, he suffered a crash on the third lap, also involving José Julio García of the Kove team. The incidents that occurred at the start of the race led to the waving of the red flag. Buis was examined and ruled unfit due to concussion, requiring hospitalization.

When the race resumed, Loris Veneman of the MTM Kawasaki team took the lead for the next five laps until he was passed by Mogeda of the Team#109 Retro Traffic Kawasaki team on lap two. However, Mogeda faced stiff competition from a field of 16 riders all chasing the lead.

ProGP team NitiRacing’s Galang Hendra Pratama led at the start of the final lap, but it was Mogeda who made a decisive move in the final corner to secure the win. He crossed the finish line just 0.083 seconds ahead of Unai Calatayud of the ARco Sash MotoR University team who was riding a Yamaha. Iñigo Iglesias of the Fusport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki team completed the podium, followed by his teammate Petr Svoboda. Veneman finished in the top five of the drivers.
