SAN RAFFAELE CIMENA – This afternoon, Saturday 20 April 2024, a serious accident in the territory of San Raffaele Cimena (TO). A man resident nearby was involved in a accident while driving a tractor in a nearby field, falling down a cliff and staying trapped under the vehicle. The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
Rescuers quickly intervened at the site of the accident, including medical personnel with ambulances and an air ambulance, the firefighters with the support of the Drago helicopter and USAR units specialized in rescue operations in complex situations, together with the company’s carabinieri of Chivasso. Medical personnel from the 118 emergency service provided intensive care to the man involved, who is currently in hospital critical conditions.

The man involved is theformer senator Enrico Buemi. Unfortunately the accident proved fatalafter a few attempts at resuscitation there was nothing more that could be done.
