SPEZZANO ALBANESE (CS) – It could have been a short circuit the cause ofthe fire broke out this afternoon in Spezzano Albanese, in the province of Cosenza, inside a warehouse of a small one-storey building in via Mortati. The flames, which in a short time they wrapped the ground floor warehouse, they were about to also affect the first floor where there was an old woman with her daughter. The intervention of the firefighters of the Provincial Command of Cosenza was providential, arriving with two teams from the Castrovillari and Rende detachments.

Thanks to the help of a ladder truck arrived from a team from the Rossano detachment, the firefighters managed to rescue the two women who were stuck and brought down from the first floor balcony, given that the internal stairs of the building were now invaded by smoke and heat. The two women were also helped by the 118 who arrived on site. They both are in good health apart from the great fear. The flames, in addition to having devoured the warehouse and everything inside, they also blackened the external walls of the house and the balcony. Access to the warehouse and the house above, as a precaution, was prohibited pending further technical-instrumental checks and the restoration of normal safety conditions.
